Jalapeno is the world’s most recognised chilli pepper. Thick-walled, moderately hot, and essential for salsas, nachos, stuffed peppers and anything that needs a clean, reliable heat without burning the mouth off you.

Grows well in an Irish polytunnel or on a bright windowsill. Plants are compact and productive. Pick green for a fresh, grassy heat or leave to ripen red for a sweeter, deeper flavour. Smoke and dry them and you have chipotle.

Chilli Pepper ‘Jalapeño’ (Capsicum annuum L.) is the world-famous Mexican pepper, essential for authentic fiery flavour. This mid-early, bushy plant is perfectly suited to container growing and produces a reliable crop of medium to long, meaty, and flavourful green fruits that mature to red. The medium heat level and thick flesh make it the quintessential ingredient for salsas, nachos, and, of course, authentic Chilli Con Carne. This packet contains approximately 150 seeds.

🌱 Sow indoors Feb-May. Needs warmth to start. Plant in full sun after frost.
☀️ Requires full sun. Thrives in heat, perfect for pots on a sunny patio.
💧 Water consistently. Let soil dry slightly between waterings.
📏 Bushy habit, ideal for containers. Harvest green or red.
