Green Imperial Star is an heirloom globe artichoke that can produce in its first year from seed. Large silvery-green foliage and generous edible buds. Once established, it comes back year after year, getting more productive with each season.

Steam the buds and eat the tender bases of the leaves dipped in melted butter or vinaigrette. The heart, once you reach it, is the real prize. A stunning architectural plant that doubles as a genuine food crop.
